Emma Ramsey (Summit, N.J.), an incoming first year for the Yale field hockey team, has been chosen to attend USA Field Hockey's U-21 Junior Women's National Team Selection Camp. USA Field Hockey announced the selections – 68 players – July 28. The camp will take place in January 2024, with specific timings and location to be determined.
Ramsey earned her spot after competing at the 2023 Junior Nexus Championship earlier this month at USA Field Hockey's Regional Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. She was part of a group of 85 invitees at the U-21 level.
Nexus is USA Field Hockey's Olympic Development Pathway Program, and part of the tryout process for the Junior U.S. National Teams. Junior Nexus (formerly just Nexus) is for athletes who are 11 years old and older who are not yet enrolled in college.
Ramsey has been selected for Nexus Championships in each of the past three years, and she was selected for the U16 Junior Olympics in 2021. She is a graduate of Oak Knoll School, where she was a third team NFHCA All-American in 2021 and 2022. She helped her team win three state championships. She was selected as one of the Top 100 players in the nation for the class of 2023 by Max Field Hockey.

Lily Ramsey (Summit, N.J.), is a rising junior for the Bulldogs. There are multiple other Ivy League athletes in her family, including a cousin (
Nicholas Ramsey) who is a rising senior on the Yale men's lacrosse team.
