NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's golf program took home first place at the 47th Macdonald Cup, hosted by the Bulldogs at the Yale Golf Course.

- Out of a field of 72 competitors, Yale's Robert You was the individual champion after shooting a 209, -1 under par, and two strokes under the second-place finisher from Harvard. You was in a tie for 11th place after round 1 (72), worked his way up to second place after round two (69), and capped the tournament with his best round of play (68).
- It was You's first collegiate individual tournament win.Â
- Captain Gabriel Ruiz finished in a three-way tie for fifth place after shooting five-over par and a 215.
- The last Bulldog to win the tournament outright was James Nicholas in 2018 when the team took second overall.
- This is the first time since 2009 that Yale has won the individual and team championship at the Macdonald Cup. Thomas McCarthy '11 took home the individual trophy and helped lead the Bulldogs back from a seven-shot deficit to hoist the team trophy.
- This was Yale's seventh straight year in the top three as a team at the Macdonald Cup.
- This was the seventh time Yale has been victorious in the last 13 Macdonald Cups. The most recent victories came in 2017 and 2021.
