Erin Ha all advanced to Sunday's play for the Yale University women's tennis team during day three action at the ITA New England Regional.
Brettkelly earned a spot in Sunday's singles action, while Werdiger and Ha clinched a position in doubles play.
Singles Results
- Brettkelly captured a 6-3, 6-0 win over Seren Agar of Boston College to open the day. She followed that with a 7-5, 6-1 win over Maxi Duncan of Harvard. Serafima Shastova of Syracuse will be up next for Brettkelly.
- Shyla Aggarwal started the day with a 6-4, 7-5 triumph over Dartmouth's Peyton Capuano. However, she fell to Cornell's Sage Loudon, 6-2, 6-3, in her next match.
- Ha dropped a three-set affair to Harvard's Kavya Karra, 6-1, 3-6, 3-6.
- Werdiger kicked off play with a 6-3, 3-6, 6-4 win over Uma Bakaiyte from Boston University. In her next match, she was defeated in three sets by Brown's Isabella Hu, 7-5, 5-7, 4-6.
- Ann Wright Guerry opened with a 7-5, 6-4 victory over Willow Renton of Quinnipiac. However, a three-set victory from Shastova over Wright Guerry, 7-5, 4-6, 2-6, prevented an all-Bulldogs affair in the next round.
Doubles Results
- Werdiger and Ha collected an 8-4 win over Isabella Venter and Tamara Bachmann from St. Bonaventure. Next up, they will take on Cornell's Loudon and Hoi Ki Jenny Wong.
- Rebecca Lynn and Jamie Kim were edged by Emma Sy and Vennmukiil Mathivanan of Army, 8-7 (7-2).
- Aggarwal and Angela Huang lost an 8-7 heartbreaker (13-11) to Anna-Raphaelle Serghi and Angel You of Harvard.
The Bulldogs return to action for day four of the ITA New England Regional on Sunday morning.
