DERBY, Conn. – It was a beautiful day in Derby as the Yale heavyweight crew team raced at the Head of the Housatonic. The 4200-meter race is organized year-to-year by the New Haven Rowing Club. The 2023 race on the Housatonic was canceled due to flooding.

"The Head of the Housatonic and competing against Brown, the defending Eastern Sprints Champions, was a great way for us to begin the new season," said Mike Gennaro, Craig W. Johnson '68 Head Coach. "It is always a joy to race on our home course and I am pleased with results from all of our crews."
