Women’s Tennis Perfect In Singles Action At Day One of Ivy League ITA Masters Qualifying

PHILADELPHIA, Pa - The Yale University women's tennis team won all three of its singles matches during day one of the Ivy League ITA Masters Qualifying event.

Singles Results
  • Julia Werdiger claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win over Carolyn Brodsky of Columbia. She will face Penn's Gavriella Smith on Saturday.
  • Shyla Aggarwal collected a 6-3, 6-2 victory over Cornell's Victoria Zhao. Next up is Columbia's Emily Baek.
  • Ann Wright Guerry captured a straight set win over Amber Yin of Columbia, 6-2, 6-1. She will take on Sam Grosjean of Dartmouth on Saturday.
Doubles Results
  • Werdiger and Wright Guerry lost to Cornell's Emma Baker and Hoi Ki Jenny Wong, 8-5.

The Bulldogs return to action for day two of the Ivy League ITA Masters Qualifying event on Saturday.
