Yale Fares Well On Day Two at Fordham Invitational

BRONX, N.Y. - Julia Werdiger claimed the Draw A singles final to highlight another stellar day for the Yale University women's tennis team at the Fordham Invitational.

Singles Results
  • Werdiger won Draw A with a 6-4, 4-6, 10-5 triumph over Nevena Kolarevic of Fordham.
  • Mirabelle Brettkelly defeated Army's Jenna Sabile in the Draw B semifinals, 6-3, 7-6 (7-3). She will face Fairleigh Dickinson's Paola Ueno Dalmonico in the finals on Sunday at 10:45 a.m.
  • Rebecca Lynn won her second singles match in as many days in Draw C. She downed Army's Julia Kelly, 6-4, 6-3, and will face Charlotta Buss of St. John's in the finals on Sunday at 10:45 a.m.
Doubles Results
  • Werdiger and Bretkelly claimed a 7-6 (7-4) triumph over Lorraine Bergman and Catalina Padilla Udaeta of Fordham in Draw AA. Next up in the finals is Army's Paige Herremans and Cooper Jackson on Sunday at 10 a.m.

The Bulldogs return to action for day three of the Fordham Invitational on Sunday morning.
