NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale women's track and field team is heading up to Boston this weekend to compete in the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships, which take place on Feb. 24-25. The meet, hosted by Harvard, will occur at the Gordon Indoor Track. With the exceptional competition that the Ivy League Championship meet will provide, the Bulldogs are looking to set new personal records across the board.

The Bulldogs:

• Sophomore Casia Provencal is Yale's sole hurdler at the meet, racing the 60m hurdles before doubling back in the 60m. Provencal will be joined by first year Juliette Kosmont, who broke the school record in the 60m earlier this season and is looking to lower the mark again. Sophomore Makayla White will also compete in the 60m before running the longer 200m dash alongside first year Sophie Spokes and senior Mira Thakur. 
• In the middle-distance events, Thakur, sophomore Molly Harding, junior Bridget Vitu, and senior Ella Mainwaring Foster are all set to toe the line in the 400m. The 500m and 800m will be a show of Yale's young talent, with first years Gloria Guerrier and Lola Isom set to compete for the Bulldogs in the 500m and first years Victoria Guerrier and Kalista Villatoro racing the 800.
• The distance events will feature many familiar faces. Sophomores Ruby Barton and Linde Fonville will race the 1k, while senior Kyra Pretre and junior Kylie Goldfarb will represent Yale in the mile. First year Hebe Chadwick is ready to race the 3k, and sophomore Charlotte Whitehurst will be running the 5k.
• Captain Bella Bergloff will be competing in Saturday's weight throw alongside juniors Makayla Harris and Kalei Memmer and fellow senior Maria Leskovec. Bergloff will also double back on Sunday to throw with first year Emma Peretti in the shot put.
• In the jumps, senior Eileen Yang will fly in the pole vault, while junior Dominique Romain and senior Sydney Kunkler will compete in the long jump on Saturday. Sunday's triple jump will feature first year Alexandra Bonn and seniors Bharathi Subbiah and Sophie Wright. Senior Abrianna Barrett will also be competing for Yale on Sunday in the high jump.

 
Up next, Yale will send athletes up to the BU Track and Tennis Center in Boston to compete in the ECAC Indoor Track & Field Championships, which stretch from Mar. 1-3.
