Cirrito Earns Academic All-Ivy League Recognition

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Thomas Cirrito (Miller Place, N.Y.) of the Yale men's track and field team has earned Academic All-Ivy League recognition for the indoor season. The league announced the honor Tuesday.
 
Cirrito, a mechanical engineering major, had the best 800m time on the team this season (1:50.82, won the event at the Giegengack Invitational). That placed him sixth on Yale's all-time list. He also had the best 1000m time on the team this season (2:23.58). That time placed him third-best all-time at Yale.
 
Cirrito finished fifth in the 800m at the 2024 Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships. He also was part of Yale's fourth-place finish in the distance medley relay. He also competed at the Ivy League Indoor Championships in 2022 and 2023.
 
Cirrito is a graduate of Miller Place High School.
