NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- After spending the last week training in Florida, the Yale women's track and field team will kick off the spring season down at the Knights Invite in Orlando, Fla., this weekend. The Bulldogs will look to build off the solid week of training in warm weather and perform well in events that are specific to the outdoor season.

• On Friday, field events begin at 11:00 a.m. and track events begin at 5:00 p.m.
• On Saturday, field events begin at 10:00 a.m. and track events begin at 12:00 p.m.

The Bulldogs:

• In the throwing events, junior Kalei Memmer will compete in the hammer. Captain Bella Bergloff, junior Makayla Harris and first year Emma Peretti will throw for Yale in the shot put. Bergloff, Memmer and Peretti will also join senior Maria Leskovec in the discus throw.
• In the longer mid-distance events, junior Kylie Goldfarb and sophomores Ruby Barton and Linde Fonville are set to compete in an impressive double, all running in both the 800m and 1500m on back-to-back days. Junior Arielle Moore and first years Victoria Guerrier and Kalista Villatoro will also join them in the 800m.
• It will be a big day for Yale in the sprinting events. Junior Dominique Romain, sophomore Makayla White and first year Juliette Kosmont will be sprinting in the 100m dash. A large Yale squad will take on the 200m, where seniors Ella Mainwaring Foster and Mira Thakur, junior Bridget Vitu, sophomores Molly Harding, Casia Provencal and Makayla White and first year Sophie Spokes will all toe the line. Provencal will also compete in the 100m hurdles after racing the 60m hurdles indoors. Sophomore Iris Bergman will race the 400m, joined by Mainwaring Foster. In the 400m hurdles, first years Gloria Guerrier and Lola Isom will represent Yale in the event for the first time in their collegiate careers. Junior Peyton Parker is set to join them.
• In the jumps, Romain and senior Sydney Kunkler will represent Yale in the long jump, while senior Eileen Yang will be flying high in the pole vault. Yang recently set a PR in the event at the Ivy League Indoor Championships and will be looking to carry that momentum to the outdoor season. Senior Abrianna Barrett will be up for Yale in the high jump. The triple jump will showcase the talent and hard work of seniors Bharathi Subbiah and Sophie Wright as well as first year Alexandra Bonn.
• Yale also will have two entries in both the 4x100m and 4x400m relays.

• Yale will travel to North Carolina to compete in NC State's Raleigh Relays from Mar. 28-30. Raleigh Relays will provide runners in the longer distance events, such as the 3k and the 5k, a chance to race against competition from across the nation. The Bulldogs also have a meet closer to home on Mar. 30 -- UConn's Dog Fight Invite.
