NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale men's track in field team was in action on Saturday, competing at the Mark Young Invitational. On yet another busy day of competition, several new personal bests and wins were notched at the Bulldogs' home track. Yale placed third of six teams, totaling 82 points. Fordham won with 109 points.
The Bulldogs:
- Jack Sendek started the day off in winning fashion as he won the 1500m in 3:51.86, continuing his unbeaten streak at this meet. Right behind him in second was Ronan Luff, who blazed his way to a PR of 3:52.54. Behind him, there were also new collegiate PRs for Caden Montini, Jack Diaz, Benny Seidman and Henry Saul.
- Chris Brown secured a PR of 51.79 in the 400m. Over the shorter sprints it was Malcolm Grant who stole the show, placing fourth in the 100m and winning the 200m in a PR of 22.42. Andrew Fu and Shaun Gold were also in action over the 100m, placing second and seventh respectively.
- Over 800m, Liam Sullivan set a collegiate PR of 1:58.63. He came back in the winning 4x400m team later on.
- In the field, the Bulldogs continued to see success. Alex Sundberg and Chu Anueyiagu went 1-2 in the hammer throw with efforts of 45.71m and 45.45m. Earlier on, Elliot Wessel jumped a PR of 4.30m to win the pole vault competition.
