Appel Wraps Up Competition at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA – On the final day of the historic Penn Relays Saturday, Yale men's track and field captain Matt Appel took to the cage for the Discus Throw Championship event.

Appel represented the Bulldogs well in the Championship Discus Throw. He had a strong series of throws to place fifth and finished up with a distance of 55.36 meters.

The Bulldogs return to their home track for the Yale Springtime Inviational Sunday. This is the last chance for the Bulldogs to compete prior to the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships next week.
