PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Yale men's tennis team picked up its first win of the spring, taking down Virginia Tech 5-2 on Saturday.
In doubles, the Yale duo of
Vignesh Gogineni and
Edward Liao at No. 1 defeated Matt Harper and Alberto Orso. That victory coupled with
Jim Ji and
Jason Shuler winning at No. 2 earned the doubles point.
In singles, Gogineni took down Maxime St. Hilaire at No. 1 in straight sets. In addition, Ji (No. 3), Shuler (No. 4) and Liao (No. 5) picked up wins.
