NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- On Saturday afternoon -- one day after playing their last regular season game -- the No. 16 Yale field hockey team learned its postseason fate. With Yale having finished with a 4-3 Ivy League record, the results of the remaining Ivy League games on Saturday led to Yale earning the No. 3 seed in the upcoming Ivy League Field Hockey Tournament.
No. 3 Harvard, the No. 1 seed, hosts the tournament. The Bulldogs will face No. 5 Princeton, the No. 2 seed, on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the semifinals at Harvard's Berylson Field. Harvard plays No. 18 Brown, the No. 4 seed, in the other semifinal game Friday (11:30 a.m.). The winners of those two games meet on Sunday at noon for the Ivy League Tournament Championship. The winner of the tournament earns the league's automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.
All tournament games will be streamed on ESPN+ and Stretch Internet (internationally). Tickets will go on sale Monday at 10:00 a.m.
