NEW HAVEN, Conn. – It was a busy Saturday for the Yale women's track and field team, with many Bulldogs making their indoor season debut.
One, senior
Claire Archer, competed at BU's Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. Archer ran a 16:19.99 5K, good enough for fifth on Yale's all-time list.
The rest of those who competed on Saturday were home at Coxe Cage for the Yale Season Opener, a meet that featured several local schools. There, the Bulldogs came away with four event wins and several notable performances.

Layni Kaase, competed in the pentathlon at the Penn Opener Friday. Kaase was fourth and Anderson was 13th.

Sprints
- Junior identical twins Gloria Guerrier (54.45) and Victoria Guerrier (54.79) took the top two spots in the 400m. Gloria is now ranked second all-time at Yale and Victoria third.
- Junior Juliette Kosmont took second in the 60m with a time of 7.51, .08 away from her school record. Junior Sophie Spokes' fourth-place time of 7.68 ranks her eighth all-time at Yale.
Hurdles
- Junior Lucija Grd won the 60mH with a time of 8.50. That was .07 away from her school record.
Jumps
- First-year Shreya Sathiyan debuted with a third-place finish in the pole vault (3.50m). She debuts at seventh on Yale's all-time list.
- First-year Sofia Varma placed second in the long jump (5.61m), trailing only New Haven's D'Jior Delisser (5.78m). Varma debuts at eighth on Yale's all-time list.
