Bulldogs Win Duplin Trophy

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Yale women's sailing team secured another first place this weekend, continuing their winning streak for the spring season.

After completing two round-robins, the Bulldogs only lost one race, finishing with a 15-1 record to win the Duplin Trophy held at Harvard. On Saturday, the wind came out of the south-west and built as the day went on to a steady 11 knots with puffs up to 23. On Sunday, it was windier in the morning and blew out of the north-west, ranging from 16 to 23 knots. Mia Nicolosi, Dorothy Mendelblatt, Carmen Cowles, Emma Cowles, Audrey Foley, Ximena Escobar, Sarah Moeder, and Jessi Ávila-Shah represented the team on the Charles. The team won the majority of their races in an impressive 1-2 combination.

Next weekend the team will compete at three team racing events at MIT, Brown, and Tufts.
