ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Yale women's and coed sailing teams are set to compete at the ICSA Fleet Race National Championships beginning May 15 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The women's championship will begin with the semifinals on Friday and Saturday. The Bulldogs earned an automatic qualifier for the event after winning the NEISA Fleet Race Championships on April 18. If Yale advances, it will compete in the finals on Sunday and Monday. Dorothy Mendelblatt, Julia Miller, Audrey Foley, Carly Kieding, Annabel Woodworth, Ella Benedetto, Clara Diaz Suarez and Maren Bradley will compete for the Bulldogs.
The coed team earned an at-large bid to the Open Fleet Race Championships. The semifinals will take place on Tuesday, May 19 and Wednesday, May 20, with the finals scheduled for the following two days. Woodworth, Miller, Mendelblatt, Foley, Morgan Pinckney, Mathias Reimer and Sarah Moeder will sail for Yale.
