PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The New England Intercollegiate Sailing Association (NEISA) has announced year-end awards for the open and women's sailing division and 12 members of the Yale sailing teams have received honors. The Bulldogs won four major awards given out and 12 individuals were honored with NEISA all-conference awards.
Senior
Emma Cowles won NEISA Women's Skipper of the Year after helping the Bulldogs to an undefeated Spring season thus far. Cowles is the first winner of the award since teammate
Mia Nicolosi accomplished the feat in 2023.
Julia Miller won NEISA Women's Crew of the Year and
Sarah Moeder earned Babineau Crew of the Year accolades. First year
Dorothy Mendelblatt became the third Yale athlete in a row to win Rookie of the Year honors following Moeder and
Ashley Highland.
Yale also had 12 members of the coed and women's squad earn All-NEISA first or second team honors:
The Bulldogs wrapped up conference regattas with championship wins in the NEISA Open and Women's Team Races. Both squads have automatically qualified for nationals. Competition begins on Thursday, April 24.
