NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Keith Tyburski, Head Coach of Yale Men's Golf, has announced that senior
Will Lodge will serve as team captain for the 2025-26 school year.
"Will is a very accomplished player and will be a great captain next year," said
Tyburski. "Since his arrival on campus, he's consistently been one of the top performers on our team. He is always looking to learn and improve every day, and his goal each week is to win. He's also very resilient, which is a skill set that will equip him to be a leader for us next season."
This season, Lodge earned Second Team All-Ivy honors following a strong campaign—his first postseason recognition from the Ivy League. The highlight of his year came at the Sacred Heart Fall Classic in October, where he captured medalist honors with rounds of 68-76-70 (214, -2). He posted four top-10 finishes across Yale's 10 tournaments.
"Being named captain of the YGT is an absolute honor, and I want to thank my teammates for trusting me with this responsibility," said
Lodge. "This team is a family, and I am so excited to see every single person succeed next year. We have great things ahead, and I can't wait to get started this fall! Go Bulldogs!"
In 2024, Lodge and the Bulldogs captured the program's 12th Ivy League team title, and its fourth in the last decade. Over the course of his career, Lodge has been recognized as a Division I PING All-Northeast Region honoree and a Cobalt Golf Scholar All-American.
