NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- First year Annie Bilbe of the Yale gymnastics team has been named the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) Newcomer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning. It is the third time this season and second consecutive week that Bilbe has received the accolade. 

Bilbe earned her third GEC weekly honor after another strong showing in the anchor position for Yale on both vault and floor in a quad meet at Temple. Bilbe posted a 9.750 on vault to tie for fifth place and added a 9.800 on floor, tying for fourth. Her consistency and confidence in the anchor role continue to make her a reliable contributor to the Bulldogs' lineups.

The Bulldogs will host the Ivy Classic on Sunday, Feb. 22 at 1 p.m.
