DURHAM, N.H. – The Yale gymnastics team continued its impressive run to start the season on Sunday at a tri-meet hosted by the University of New Hampshire. The Bulldogs set a new season high of 194.975, over half a point better than their previous best.
Yale placed second behind New Hampshire (195.700) and in front of Towson (194.925).
Key Performers
• Junior Chloe DeJoy tied for the best score of the meet on bars. DeJoy scored a 9.875, setting a new career high in the process.
• First-year Ella Hargreaves recorded the top score on vault with a 9.800, tied with two gymnasts from Towson.
Meet Notes
• The Bulldogs registered the seventh-highest score in program history. It was the third consecutive time that Yale has scored over 194 points this season.
• Yale outscored Towson for the first time in program history.
• The Elis registered season highs in both bars (48.825) and floor (48.900).
• DeJoy's mark tied with Ellie Kearns for the best score on bars.
• Ella Hargreaves made her collegiate debut, competing on vault.
• Six Bulldogs set season-high scores. Lily Aucoin (9.775 – bars), Annie Bilbe (9.850 – floor), Megan Brueck (9.750 – floor), Ashley Stafford (9.775 – vault), Hana Strause (9.800 – beam), Charlotte Zaun (9.775 – beam).
