NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale gymnastics team continued to soar to new heights on Saturday afternoon at John J. Lee Amphitheater. The Bulldogs set a new program record on vault while topping Southern Connecticut State University in a dual meet. Following the meet, Yale honored its five-member senior class.
Yale recorded a team score of 194.775, topping SCSU (192.600).
Key Performers
- First-year Annie Bilbe registered a 9.825 on vault, the highest at the meet and tied for the fourth-best score in program history. Classmate Ashley Stafford also eclipsed the 9.80 mark.
- Sophomore Ellie Kearns recorded a 9.825 on bars, the top score of the meet.
Meet Notes
- Yale recorded its best vault score in program history with a 48.850, topping its previous best of 48.800 set in 2018 and 2024.
- The Bulldogs outscored the Owls in every event.
- Yale topped 194 points for the fourth consecutive meet.
- In addition to bars, Kearns tied for the best score on beam with Gigi Sabatini. Both scored 9.775 on the event.
- Sophomore Lauren Burt was the Bulldogs' best performer on floor, registering a 9.85.
- Yale celebrated its five-member senior class: Sabatini, Hana Strause, Meredith Donovan, Lauren Holt, and Megan Brueck.
