NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- First year Annie Bilbe of the Yale gymnastics team has been named the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) Newcomer of the Week, as announced by the conference on Wednesday morning. It is the fourth time this season and third consecutive week that Bilbe has received the accolade. She received co-honors with Ruth Whaley of Penn.

Bilbe delivered another standout performance at the Ivy Classic, helping Yale post a program-record team score of 195.525. Competing with poise beyond her years, Bilbe continues to perform like a veteran, impressing with her work ethic, humility and willingness to do anything for her teammates. She earned a 9.750 on vault (t-7) and tied for third on floor with a 9.850. 

The Bulldogs will compete at North Carolina State University in a quad meet with the Wolfpack, George Washington, and UNH.
