NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale gymnastics team soared to new heights on Sunday at John J. Lee Amphitheater. The Bulldogs recorded a program-best team score of 195.525, placing second to Penn at the Ivy Classic.
Yale hosted the quad meet, featuring Penn, Cornell, and Brown. The Quakers took first with a team score of 195.800. The Bulldogs placed second, followed by Cornell (193.575) and Brown (192.250). The top six individual finishers in each event were recognized as All-Ivy Classic honorees.
Top Performers
• Sophomore Ellie Kearns placed second overall on bars with a 9.825, trailing Penn's Luci Toczydlowski by just .025 points.
• Sophomore Allie Forbes tied for second place on beam, recording a score of 9.850. Forbes topped her previous career-best score of 9.775.
Meet Notes
• Yale set its program-best team score, topping the previous mark of 195.400 set in 2024.
• Yale topped the 195-point mark for the tenth time in program history. The Elis have also scored over 194 points in six consecutive meets.
• The Bulldogs recorded 49.125 on floor, ranking in the top 10 best scores in program history. It was also the highest mark of the meet by any team.
• Hana Strause, Chloe DeJoy, and Annie Bilbe were the Bulldogs' top performers on floor, each scoring 9.850.
• Yale also performed well on vault, registering a 48.750 score, tied for the fourth-highest ever.
• Lauren Burt recorded Yale's top score on vault with a 9.800.
