NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's track and field team will compete at the Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend at The Armory in New York. Competition begins Saturday and concludes Sunday.
Scoring is on a 10-8-6-4-2-1 scale. At the conclusion of the meet, a Field Performer of the Meet, a Track Performer of the Meet and the Coaching Staff of the Year will be selected. Heps also determines All-Ivy League honorees. The top finisher in each event earns first team All-Ivy League recognition, while the second finisher earns second team All-Ivy League recognition. All of those awards will be announced formally next Tuesday.
Princeton is the defending champion. Yale finished fifth at Heps last year, the Bulldogs' best Heps finish since placing second in 2006. The Bulldogs' point total last year, 54, was their second-highest since 2006 (the 2022 squad totaled 56 points).
