NEW HAVEN, Conn. – With less than two weeks until its season opener, the Yale men's lacrosse team was selected to finish fourth in the league's annual preseason poll, as announced on Thursday afternoon.
Princeton was selected to finish first with 96 points and 12 first place votes. Cornell, the reigning Ivy League champion, was picked second with 85 points and two first place votes. Following the Big Red was Harvard in third with 69 points, and then Yale in fourth with 50 points. Rounding out the poll were Dartmouth (42 points), Penn (32 points), and Brown (18 points).
The Bulldogs are coming off a 2025 campaign that marked their 14th consecutive appearance in the Ivy League Tournament. Yale is led by captain
Patrick Pisano, an All-Ivy Honorable Mention selection last season. The Bulldogs also welcome 14 newcomers to the roster, all poised to make their debuts.
