PRINCETON, N.J. – Ellie Joseph of the Yale softball team earned weekly honors from the conference, being named Ivy League Rookie of the Week.
Joseph turned in a strong week in the circle, appearing in three games and posting a 1-1 record. She logged 17.1 innings and recorded 16 strikeouts.
She highlighted her week with a dominant nine-inning performance against Princeton, striking out six to lead Yale to its first victory over the Tigers since 2019 and its first home win in the series since 2014. The win also snapped Princeton's 14-game Ivy League unbeaten streak.
Joseph also contributed 4.1 innings with four strikeouts in game one of the series.
In non-conference play, she tossed 4.0 innings with six strikeouts in an 8-1 victory over the University of New Haven on April 15.
