NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's track and field team wrapped up its final weekend of competition before Heps on Saturday, competing at the Penn Relays and the Ken O'Brien Championship Prep meet at UMass.
At the Penn Relays, two Bulldogs competed in their respective championships a day after breaking the school record in the heats for their event.
In the College Women's 100m Hurdles Championship, junior
Lucija Grd placed fifth with a time of 13.83. Texas A&M All-American Jaiya Covington was first (13.09). Grd had broken the school record with a time of 13.43 Friday.
In the College Women's 100m Dash Championship, junior
Juliette Kosmont placed sixth with a time of 12.16. Pitt's Somiyah Braggs was first (11.86). Kosmont had broken the school record with a time of 11.52 Friday.
Also at the Penn Relays Saturday, Yale's team of senior
Anna Chamberlin, sophomore
Sylvie Sanok Dufallo, junior
Daniella Henderson and senior
Linde Fonville earned a second-place finish in the Women's 4x800 College with a time of 8:49.37. Navy won with a time of 8:49.31.
The unscored Ken O'Brien Championship Prep meet brought together schools from throughout the Northeast.
