PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale men's track and field team concluded competition at the Ivy League Heptagonal Outdoor Track and Field Championships Sunday at Princeton's Weaver Stadium.
The 4x400m relay team of first-year
Jozef Miesak, first-year
Ethan Johnson, junior
Lucas Mylon and senior
Andrew Farr capped the day with a school-record time of 3:09.34. That time is the fastest in school history for the 4x400m event; the school record for the 4x440-yard relay remains 3:09.6, set in 1968 by the team of
Chuck Hobbs '69,
Larry Kreider '69,
Steve Bittner '69 and
Mark Young '68.
The senior class delivered Yale's top two individual finishes of the day, with senior
Brian Di Bassinga taking fourth in the triple jump (15.23m) and senior
Owen Karas taking sixth in the 1500m (3:43.81).
Princeton won the meet, finishing with 219 points.
Scoring is on a 10-8-6-4-2-1 scale.
