Yale men's fencing team took on No. 6 Harvard and No. 7 Princeton on the first day of the 2015 Ivy League Fencing Round-Robins hosted by Columbia University. The Bulldogs are ranked fifth after completing the first day of bouts.
During the first match, Harvard defeated the Bulldogs 21-6. The Crimson also beat Brown and Columbia, but lost to Penn. Even with a loss, Harvard still finished the day at the top of the rankings.
In the final match of day one, Princeton cruised to a 22-5 win over Yale. The Tigers sit in fourth place after losing their other match to Columbia.
The Bulldogs will conclude the 2015 Ivy League Fencing Round-Robins with matches against No. 4 Columbia, Penn and Brown on Monday.
