It was a strong finish to the fall season for Yale women's crew. The Bulldogs' varsity eight was the second collegiate finisher and the top Ivy League finisher in the Championship Eight at the famed Head of the Charles in Boston.

In addition, Yale's second varsity eight placed 14
th overall and was the second fastest collegiate second varsity.

"We had a heck of regatta," said
Will Porter, The Friends of YWC Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "All three Yale crews raced hard and strong. There was no let up coming down the course today."

The Bulldogs also had a crew that was the
top collegiate finisher in the Club Eight Championship on Saturday.

In Sunday's Championship Eight, Yale's varsity posted a time of 15:29.572, the fourth fastest of the event. A pair of U.S. National Eights were the two fastest finishers followed by Stanford, who crossed the line in 15:24.784.

Yale's second varsity eight had a time of 15:58.946.

It was also a successful regatta for Yale's heavyweight and lightweight crews. Yale was the recipient of the overall collegiate points trophy, awarded to the school with the top finishers from its men's and women's programs.

The Yale women now turn their attention to winter training. Porter was pleased with what he saw from his crew this fall.

"I like the way this squad approaches the work," he said. "They get after it."
