NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Last year's captain
Anthony Walsh, who earned four varsity letters as a regular on defense, has returned to the Yale Men's Hockey Program as its volunteer director of operations.
"We are very fortunate that Anthony decided to come back to Yale and further contribute to our Hockey Program. As a player, he was dedicated, hard-working and intelligent, those assets will serve him well in his new role," said
Keith Allain '80, Yale's Malcolm G. Chace Head Coach.. "We are all excited that he has chosen to become a member of our staff."
Walsh, who had been looking at professional hockey opportunities, will help handle travel, video and other aspects of operations for the 2019-20 Bulldogs, who open on Nov. 1 at home against Brown.
"I'm just excited to be around the guys in a different role," said Walsh, a Burr Ridge, Ill., native. "I've always wanted to get into coaching, and after some unexpected events over the summer, it just seemed like the perfect transition from my playing career. I care a lot about the program, so it just seemed like the perfect fit and transition to join the staff here at Yale this year."
