For Second Straight Year, Arnautou Named AVCA All-Region

Senior Setter Adds Another Honor to Collegiate Career

Frances Arnautou was named AVCA All-East Region Honorable Mention.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- For the second straight season, Yale senior setter Frances Arnautou has been named AVCA All-Region.

Arnautou, a All-Ivy First Team selection for the second straight season in 2019, was selected to AVCA Honorable Mention All-East Region after leading the Bulldogs to their third straight conference title.  She was also named to the AVCA All-East Region last season.

"I'm thrilled for Frances to be recognized on an all–Region team," Yale head coach Erin Appleman said.  "She is truly a gifted player, and will be missed in my lineup."

A San Francisco native, Arnautou ranked second in the league in assists per set and tied for the team lead with 20 service aces in 2019.  She averaged 2.36 digs per set in league play and nearly one kill per set.

A two-time Ivy League Player of the Week, Arnautou dished out 2,715 assists in her collegiate career.  She was named Ivy League Player of the Week twice this season and was conference player of the year in 2018.
