NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale gymnastics team led the ECAC with 13 All-Academic selections, and had 11 All-ECAC selections, as the conference announced its major awards Monday.
With the ECAC Championship canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Temple was declared ECAC champions by virtue of its National Qualifying Score. Yale placed second, marking the fourth straight season the Bulldogs have finished in the top two.
The top 12 gymnasts in each event were recognized as All-ECAC (six first team, six second team). The teams are based off the NQS that the gymnasts accumulated during the season. Yale's 11 selections were spread among seven gymnasts.
Junior
Jacey Baldovino (Atherton, Calif.) earned first-team honors on bars and beam -- the third year in a row she has been first team on both -- and second-team honors on floor. Junior
Charlotte Cooperman (Southborough, Mass.) earned a pair of second-team honors, on beam and floor. Junior
Alyssa Firth (Bethpage, N.Y.) also earned two honors, taking first team on vault and floor.
