Bulldog Bits
- Yale has a 2-1-2 record in its last five games including an Ivy win over Penn at home, a pair of scoreless draws against at Dartmouth and Cornell, and a loss to nationally ranked Harvard.
- Since the loss at Harvard, opponents have taken 14 shots on goal and had 37 total shots, but the Bulldogs' defense has not allowed a goal in those four games.
- Laila Booker has been spectacular for the Bulldogs on defense, while also providing offense. The sophomore defender has been part of a defensive core with Nana Yang, Marz Akins, and Shorrock that have limited opponents' scoring chances and helped Yale to four-straight clean sheets. Booker also scored the game-winning goal in the Bulldogs' last game against Penn.
Scouting the Lions
- Much like Yale, Columbia (7-3-3, 3-1-1 Ivy) is 2-1-2 in its last five games. They picked up Ivy wins over Dartmouth and Penn, drew with Princeton and non-conference opponent Laselle, and fell to Brown. Both the wins and loss were decided by one goal.
- The Lions have gotten through the season with a balanced attack. 11 different players have at least one goal.
- Shira Cohen leads the team in goals (3), while Ania Prussak leads the team in assists (4). Both have 10 points on the season.
- Not to underestimate Maia Tabion, who has a team-leading 24 shots, in addition to three goals and two assists.
- Paige Nurkin has seen the most time in goal for the Lions with 12 starts. She has a 4-3-1 record, including one shutout, and 22 saves.
