PHILADELPHIA -- The Yale gymnastics team (193.075) fell at Temple (193.825) on Friday. Still, multiple Bulldogs emerged as standouts in the competition.
Lindsay Chia (all-around and beam) and
Sherry Wang (bars) earned wins, and
Sarah Wilson placed second in the all-around with a 38.675.

On vault (48.350), Chia and
Raegan Walker closely trailed Temple as the Bulldogs had a strong performance overall. Chia placed second (9.775) after a strong Yurchenko full. Walker tied for third place (9.750) after performing the most difficult vault of the competition, a Yurchenko 1.5.

After registering the second-highest score in team history last week, the Bulldogs continue to shine on bars (48.150). Wang (9.875) continued her winning streak after a strong routine with near-perfect handstands and difficult releases like the Jaeger earned her a 9.875. Wilson (9.750) continued her strong performance on the bars after placing third in last week's competition.

On beam the Bulldogs pulled through (48.125), overcoming two falls. Chia continued to show her consistency, adding to her numerous titles on the event. After a steady routine, she earned a 9.850, tying for the fourth-highest beam score in team history.
Emma Mangiacapre had a redemptive performance this week, earning her first fourth-place finish (9.775).

Kendal Toy (9.750) continued her streak of strong floor exercise performances after winning the title on the event and earning GEC Gymnast of the Week last week. Chia, who tied for first last week, did not trail far behind with a 9.725.

The Bulldogs now gear up for the Ivy Classic Sunday Feb. 27 at Lee Amphitheater.
