PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Just two weeks after registering the second-highest team score in program history, the Yale gymnastics team rose to new heights setting a new standard with a 195.400 at the Ivy Classic on Saturday. The Bulldogs broke the team record of 195.325 set back in 2018.
Yale finished second at the four-team event, just behind Penn's mark of 195.800. Cornell finished third followed by Brown in fourth.
The Bulldogs stood out on the bars, topping the rest of the field. Senior
Sarah Wilson won the event with a score of 9.850, setting a season-high in the process. First year
Lily Aucoin tied for second and
Sherry Wang placed fourth.
Ella Tashjian continued her excellent first year finishing tied for first in vault. Tashjian registered a score of 9.825. She also placed second in floor with a 9.875.
On beam,
Emma Mangiacapre was the top performer for the Bulldogs, finishing tied for fifth place with a 9.825.
