NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Senior Lauren Luu has been elected captain of the 2026-27 Yale gymnastics team as announced by head coach Andy Leis. Luu was selected following a team vote.

Luu leads the Bulldogs into their 54th season. She is part of a senior class that includes teammates Ella Tashjian, Chloe DeJoy, and Lily Aucoin.

"I am incredibly honored to have been elected captain of the Yale gymnastics team for the 2026-2027 season," Luu said. "Alongside my fellow seniors Lily Aucoin, Chloe DeJoy, and Ella Tashjian, I am excited to lead a team with so much heart and drive as we build on the program's success."

Luu will enter her fourth season as a Bulldog in 2027 as a specialist on bars. She is a First Team All-GEC honoree, a multi-time GEC Scholar Athlete and a WCGA Scholastic All-American.

The Bulldogs are coming off their fourth straight runner-up finish at the GEC Championships. The team recorded its highest national ranking in program history (No. 48).
