Day One of Competition Wrapped Up at Penn Relays

PHILADELPHIA -- The Yale men's track and field team finished the first day of competition at the historic Penn Relays Thursday.  Three Bulldogs ran and two competed in the hammer throw.
  • Full results from day 1 can be found here. 
  • Liam Garrett raced in the 1500 and came home in a time of 4:01.
  • In the 5k Stephen Moody stayed strong in the pack in the second heat to achieve a time of 14:25. Martin Riddell went in the next heat and had a strong close to run 14:23 to set a new PR.
  • In the hammer throw Jake Sun threw 56.50m and Nolan Recker threw 55.57m.
 
Up next:
  • The Bulldogs will be back in action Friday for day two of the Penn Relays. The action will begin with the discus throw at 12:00 p.m.
