NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- The Yale coed and women's sailing teams continued their great starts to the spring season with a pair of wins over the weekend. The women's team hosted a six-team event, while the coed squad topped the field at the NEISA Open Team Race Championships for the Fowle Trophy.
Yale Women's Team Race
The Bulldogs hosted the regatta at their home complex in Branford, Conn. The Elis dominated the competition, recording an overall record of 14-1. Yale lost to Dartmouth in Round 1, but rebounded by winning every other matchup. Brown finished in second, followed by Dartmouth and Harvard.

NEISA Open Team Race Championship
The coed squad was equally impressive at the NEISA conference championship regatta hosted by Brown. The Bulldogs went 17-6 to outrace the competition. In the first round, the Elis recorded a record of 8-3 which allowed them to advance to the top eight, where they concluded with a mark of 5-2. In the final round, Yale went 4-1 and were crowned as overall champions. Harvard placed second, followed by Brown and Roger Williams.

The coed squad will compete in three regattas next weekend. The Bulldogs will host the Yale Fleet Race Invitational, will travel to New London for the Thompson Trophy, and will participate in the Oberg Fleet Race hosted by MIT. The women's squad will compete at the Women's Team Race Championships, hosted by Harvard.
