BOSTON — The Yale men's track and field team returned to BU for the David Hemery Valentine Invitational Friday. After a successful outing last weekend at BU's Bruce Lehane Scarlet & White Invite, the Bulldogs tested themselves again against strong competition. They came away with some solid marks as they continue their preparation for the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships.
 
The Meet:

• The 400 meter runners took to the track first. Senior Simon Jupp broke the 50 second barrier to run 49.48. Sophomore Lucas Mylon was just outside his PR with his time of 49.47. Junior Andrew Farr ran 49.09, a very solid time that backs up his recent performances.
• Senior Leo Brewer raced in the mile. He took the lead in the middle of the race but unfortunately fell just short of a PR, running 4:04 to finish 10th in his heat.
• There were multiple Bulldogs in the 3k. Sophomore Daegan Cutter ran a smart race to come away with a PR of 8:17. Junior Owen Karas and senior Varun Oberai also competed. 

 
Up Next: 

• The Bulldogs return to action Saturday at Coxe Cage for the final home meet of the indoor season -- the Giegengack Invitational. Action kicks off in the field events at 8:30 a.m. and on the track at 12:00 p.m.  This is the final chance for the Bulldogs to test themselves prior to the Ivy League Heptagonal Championships.
