Yale men's lacrosse is set to host Army in its home opener on Wednesday, Feb. 19. The Bulldogs enter the matchup with an 0-1 record after opening their season at Villanova on Saturday.

Last Time Out
- Eight Bulldogs tallied goals, but the Bulldogs were edged by Villanova, 13-11, in their season opener.
- After Villanova extended its advantage to 8-4 with 14:24 remaining in the third quarter, the Bulldogs responded with goals from David Anderson, Peter Moynihan and Leo Johnson to trim the deficit to one.
- The Wildcats, however, responded with two of their own to take a 10-7 advantage into the fourth.
- Yale fought back with three straight in the final frame, highlighted by a goal from Chris Lyons with 1:12 to go (12-11), but Villanova converted on an extra-man opportunity with seven seconds left to put the game out of reach.
- Max Krevsky, Johnson, and Moynihan each tallied two goals.
- Johnson also had two assists.
- Lyon's recorded a goal and a team-high three assists.
- Johnny Keib, Brad Sharp, David Anderson, and William Sheehan each tallied a goal.

- Hugh Conrad got the start for the Bulldogs in goal against Villanova.
- After leading the nation in ground balls per game in 2024, Machado Rodriguez picked up right where he left off with nine at Villanova.
- Leo Johnson has registered at least one point in all 33 games he has played at Yale.

- Johnson, Lyons, Sharp, Krevsky, Carson Kuhl, Patrick Pisano, Michael Alexander, Jack Stuzin, Rodriguez, and Jared Paquette landed on the Preseason NEILA DI All-New England Teams on Feb. 13.
- The Bulldogs were picked to finish third in the Ivy League Preseason Poll on Feb. 7.
- Johnson, Lyons, and Sharp were tabbed to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List on Feb. 6.
- Lyons, Krevsky, Rodriguez, Johnson, Stuzin, and Pisano were all named Inside Lacrosse Preseason All-Americans on Jan. 30.

- Army is ranked eighth in this week's Inside Lacrosse poll.
- The Black Knights enter the matchup with a 2-0 record.
- Army is coming off a 9-3 victory over Rutgers on Saturday.
- In the win, freshman Brayden Fountain made his second career start, scoring a game-high four goals and assists on another two goals.
- Fountain has scored four goals in each of his first two collegiate games, totaling 11 points in the first two games on the season.
