  • Sophomore Lucija Grd made the finals of the 60m hurdles with a third-place finish in her heat. Her time of 8.54 seconds ties the Yale record she set earlier this season.
  • Two Bulldogs qualified for the 60m finals. Sophomore Juliette Kosmont, who holds Yale's current 60m record of 7.48 seconds, ran 7.50 to finish second in her heat. Captain and senior Dominique Romain finished third in the same heat and set a personal record of 7.53 seconds.
  • In the prelims of the 500m, sophomore Gloria Guerrier ran 1:13.11 – the third-fastest time of the day – to qualify for the finals.
  • Both heats of the 800m prelim were won by Yale athletes. In the first heat, sophomore Victoria Guerrier took down the facility record with a time of 2:06.35. Junior Carmel Fitzgibbon held off a strong field to win the second heat in a time of 2:08.79. Both athletes qualified for finals.
  • Senior Iris Bergman was an automatic qualifier for Sunday's 1k finals with an exciting second-place finish in her heat, only 0.05 behind the winner. She completed the five laps in 2:51.03.

Up Next:
  • Besides the finals of all of Saturday's prelims, Sunday is the first time this weekend that the women's triple jump, shot put and 5k will be contested. Juniors Marisa Poe and Charlotte Whitehurst will represent Yale in the 5k, sophomore Alexandra Bonn will be in the triple jump, and the shot put will feature senior Makayla Harris, sophomore Emma Peretti and first year Anna Siciliano.
  • Heps will close out with the distance medley relay, the 4x800 relay and the 4x400 relay.
