COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Yale gymnastics team competed in its final meet before the Gymnastics East Conference (GEC) Championships next weekend. The Bulldogs recorded a team score of 193.600 at a quad meet hosted by the University of Maryland on Sunday afternoon.
Yale placed fourth behind Maryland (196.175), Towson (195.975), and George Washington (195.250).
Key Performer
- Sophomore Ella Tashjian recorded a season-best on vault with a 9.775. The score was tied for seventh-best at the meet.
Meet Notes
- On floor, Yale scored 48.675. First year Ellie Kearns was the Bulldogs' top performer in the event with a 9.775.
- Yale scored 48.450 on bars, its second-best apparatus on Sunday. Lauren Holt, Lauren Luu, and Hailey Kriz received identical 9.725 scores. Holt's performance was tied for her best score this season.
- On beam, the Bulldogs registered a score of 48.075. Gigi Sabatini and Kriz paced the team with scores of 9.750. Sabatini has hit the 9.750 mark three times this season.
- Yale's second rotation was on vault. The Bulldogs scored 48.400, the team's fourth-highest score this season. Lauren Burt scored just behind Tashjian with a 9.750, tied for her second-best mark.
