NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Three members of the Yale women's track and field team were awarded All-Ivy League honors after running to a first- or second-place finish at the 2025 Ivy League Indoor Heptagonal Championships, held last weekend at Cornell. Additionally, senior
Bridget Vitu (Wilmette, Ill.) was named Academic All-Ivy League. The league officially announced the awards on Tuesday.
Sophomore
Victoria Guerrier (West Hempstead, N.Y.) received first team All-Ivy League honors following her victory in the 800m at Heps. Guerrier set a new facility record with her victory, running 2:04.57 on the flat track and leading the race from start to finish. This caps off a remarkable season for Guerrier, who set school records in both the 800m (2:03.69) and the 500m (1:11.44), as well as being part of the 4x400m relay that holds the new Yale record.
Last year, Guerrier competed on the world stage in the 800m at the 2024 Carifta Games in St. George's, Grenada and earned sixth place for Yale in the 800m at both the Indoor and Outdoor Ivy League Heptagonal Track and Field Championships. She also qualified for and competed in the 800m outdoors at the 2024 NCAA First Round Meet. Guerrier won the team's 2024 James Stack award, which is presented annually to the track and field athlete who best personifies James Stack, the captain and leader of Yale's 1961 team. Guerrier is a Salutatorian of West Hempstead Secondary, where she holds school records in the indoor 300m, the indoor 600m, the outdoor 800m, the indoor 800m, the outdoor 4x400m and the outdoor 400m.
Junior
Carmel Fitzgibbon (Weston, Mass.) earned second team All-Ivy League honors after her second-place finish in the 800m. Fitzgibbon crossed the line in a time of 2:07.64, finishing more than a second ahead of third place. She later doubled back to lead Yale's DMR team to a third-place finish, running a 3:29.68 1200m leg of the relay.
During the 2024-2025 indoor season, Fitzgibbon set personal records in the mile, 1k, 800m and 500m. Her personal record of 2:06.58 in the 800m ranks her fourth on Yale's all-time list. A graduate of Phillips Academy, Fitzgibbon was a Massachusetts Cross Country and indoor track two mile All-State Champion.
Sophomore
Juliette Kosmont (Monterey, Calif.) was awarded second team All-Ivy honors for her second-place finish in the 60m dash. Her time of 7.43 seconds was a new school record in the event – though she is no stranger to having the quickest time in Yale's history, having broken her own record several times.
During the 2024 season, Kosmont finished sixth in the 60m at Ivy League Heptagonal Indoor Track and Field Championships and was a member of multiple relays that now have a spot on Yale's top 10 lists. She was also awarded the team's Lee Calhoun Award, which is given to an outstanding member of the track and field team who excels in sprinting or hurdling. Kosmont is a graduate of Santa Catalina, where she competed in the 2022 and 2023 California State Championships.
Vitu, an ethics, politics and economics major, competed in the 500m and the 4x400m relay at the Ivy League Indoor Track and Field Championships this past weekend. She was part of the 4x400m relay team that set the school record this season. This was her third time competing at Heps. She competed in the 400m in the two previous years and was also part of a relay team each year. She is a graduate of New Trier High School, where she was a two-time all-state selection and captain.
