Harvard-Yale Takes the Win Against Oxford-Cambridge

Alexandra Bonn (shown here).
NEW HAVEN, Conn. – At the 2025 Harvard-Yale vs. Oxford-Cambridge meet Saturday, the combined Harvard-Yale women's team claimed a decisive 14–4 victory over their Oxford-Cambridge counterparts. This international tradition, held in the U.S. every four years, was hosted at the Cuyler Athletic Complex and Dwyer Track in New Haven. Combined with the men's scores, Harvard-Yale won 22-15.

The Bulldogs:
  • Team captain and senior Dominique Romain opened the scoring with a win in the long jump, leaping 5.62m to secure a point for Harvard-Yale.
  • In the javelin, junior Makayla White clinched second place with a clutch final throw of 28.56m.
  • First year Zoe Martonfi impressed in only her second-ever 3,000m steeplechase, taking first in a personal-best time of 10:45.99.
  • Despite rainy and windy conditions, sophomore Daniella Henderson set a new personal record in the 1500m, finishing third in 4:41.79.
  • Junior Casia Provencal earned another point with her win in the 100m hurdles, crossing the line in 15.51 seconds.
  • In the triple jump, sophomore Alexandra Bonn overcame the weather—forcing the event indoors—to take first with a mark of 11.11m.
  • Junior Anna Chamberlin ran a gutsy race in the 800m to place second, clocking in at 2:15.68.
  • In the 400m hurdles, sophomore Gloria Guerrier dominated the field, winning by more than four seconds with a time of 1:01.73.
  • Junior Charlotte Whitehurst led from the front in the 5,000m, taking first in 16:49.27—just nine seconds off her personal best, despite tough conditions.
  • To close out the meet, the 4x400m relay squad of first year Elaine Hudacsko, seniors Bridget Vitu and Peyton Parker and first year Sylvie Sanok Dufallo stormed to victory in 3:56.64, capping off a strong day for the Harvard-Yale team.

Up Next:
  • Up next, select members of the Bulldogs squad will travel to Winston-Salem, N.C., to compete in the Wake Forest Invitational on Friday, Apr. 18. Meanwhile, other athletes will stay local to participate in the Mark Young Invitational, hosted by Yale on Saturday, Apr. 19.
