PRINCETON, N.J. -- For the fourth time this season, first year
Jack Ohman of the Yale baseball team has been named Ivy League Rookie of the Week. The conference announced the award on Tuesday afternoon. Ohman has been unbelievable on the mound for the Bulldogs, earning his sixth weekly honor overall. No other Ivy League player has won a weekly award more than twice.
Ohman tossed a complete game shutout on Friday against Columbia, earning his fifth win of the season. The first year allowed five hits, while striking out six and walking none. Ohman has allowed only one earned run in 47.1 innings pitched this season, and leads the NCAA in ERA with a stingy 0.19 mark. The Arizona native is first in the Ivy League in ERA, wins (5), innings pitched, strikeouts (55), and opposing batting average (.157).
The Bulldogs will be back in action on Tuesday at Quinnipiac.
