Ohman Named Division I All-American

DALLAS, Texas -- The resume of Yale first year Jack Ohman continues to get better and better. Ohman was named a Division I Second Team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association on Wednesday.

84 student-athletes from across the NCAA make up the Division I first, second, and third teams. There are 17 different conferences and 16 conference championship squads represented among the '25 standouts. The three All-America squads are also made up of 16 conference players or co-players of the year, 12 conference pitchers of the year, five conference relief pitchers of the year, and nine Division I loop defensive player of the year.

Ohman is one of four first year athletes to make the list and is the only player to represent the Ivy League. The Arizona native is Yale's first Division I All-American since Ryan Lavarnway in 2007.

Just days after being named an NCBWA Freshman All-American and Perfect Game Freshman Pitcher of the Year, Ohman added his most prestigious accomplishment yet to cap off one of the best debut seasons in Yale Athletics history.

Ohman had an unbelievable 2025 campaign on the mound for the Bulldogs. He was honored as the top pitcher in the Ivy League and proved himself as one of the best hurlers in the nation. Ohman ranked first in the NCAA with a minuscule 1.34 ERA. Ohman tossed 73.2 innings, recording an 8-1 record, helping lead the Bulldogs to a share of the regular season Ivy League Championship. Ohman ranked in the top three in the conference in ERA, wins, innings pitched, opposing batting average (.162), and strikeouts (78).

Ohman was also a semifinalist for both the Golden Spikes Award and National Pitcher of the Year as well as ECAC Pitcher of the Year. He was recently named to the Division I ABCA All-Region team.
