Bulldogs Set to Face No. 1 Cornell in Ivy League Tournament Semifinal

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The fourth-seeded Yale men's lacrosse is set to kick off postseason action, facing top-seeded and No. 1 ranked Cornell in the Ivy League semifinal game on Friday, May 2. The Bulldogs closed out the regular season with a 5-7 record, 3-3 in Ivy play.

  • Cornell is ranked No. 1 in the latest Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.
  • The Big Red is first in the nation in scoring offense (15.85), points per game (26.31), and assists per game (10.46).
  • Cornell is led by CJ Kirst, who ranks first in the NCAA in goals per game (4.69) and points per game (6.38).
  • Kirst most recently set the NCAA Division I men's lacrosse scoring record with 225 career goals.
  • Ryan Goldstein is third in the nation in assists per game (2.92).
  • When the Bulldogs and Big Red met in March at Reese Stadium, Kirst tallied nine goals and Cornell won by a score of 19-14.
