NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Sophomore
Jack Ohman of the Yale baseball team has been named a Preseason Second Team All-American by Perfect Game USA, as announced by the organization on Wednesday afternoon.
Ohman is coming off an unbelievable first year for the Bulldogs. The Arizona native was honored as the top pitcher in the Ivy League and proved himself as one of the best hurlers in the nation. Ohman ranked first in the NCAA with a minuscule 1.34 ERA. Ohman tossed 73.2 innings, recording an 8-1 record, helping lead the Bulldogs to a share of the regular season Ivy League Championship. Ohman ranked in the top three in the conference in ERA, wins, innings pitched, opposing batting average (.162), and strikeouts (78).
Last season, he was the Perfect Game College Freshman Pitcher of the year and First Team All-American. He was also a semifinalist for both the Golden Spikes Award and National Pitcher of the Year as well as ECAC Pitcher of the Year.
Ohman and the Yale baseball team will kick off the 2026 season on Feb. 20 at the Andre Dawson HBCU Classic.
