DANBURY, Conn. -- The honors continue to roll in for Yale baseball player,
Jack Ohman. The star first year was named Pitcher of the Year by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) as announced on Wednesday. He was also selected to the All-ECAC team.
Ohman had an unbelievable debut season on the mound for the Bulldogs. The Arizona native was honored as the top pitcher in the Ivy League and proved himself as one of the best hurlers in the nation. Ohman ranks first in the NCAA with a minuscule 1.34 ERA. Ohman tossed 73.2 innings, recording an 8-1 record, helping lead the Bulldogs to a share of the regular season Ivy League Championship. Ohman ranked in the top three in the conference in ERA, wins, innings pitched, opposing batting average (.162), and strikeouts (78).
Ohman is also a semifinalist for both the Golden Spikes Award and National Pitcher of the Year.
